NMI SACRAMENTO

The Sacramento Nazarene Missions International is a part of the Nazarene Church World Wide. This site is designed to keep those in the Sacramento District informed on all things missions related.

Care & Connection

The Care and Connection Program of the Church of theNazarene is a network of personal connections between missionaries and Nazarenes around the world. Missionaries are assigned to districts and, then on the district level, connected to local churches. This gives each church an opportunity to become personally acquainted with the missionary family and their field of service. Churches correspond with the District Links Missionaries in order to develop relationships and pray for their specific needs.

In return, the churches feel a sense of involvement with the global mission enterprise of the church through regular correspondence from the missionaries, updates from their field, and even through deputation services while the missionaries are on home assignment. The missionaries are encouraged, knowing people care and pray for them. The relationships built over time personalize names and faces that both the missionaries and their Care & Connections churches value highly.

We are so excited to embark on this new journey of Care and Connection of missionaries and co-labor with them in our prayers, love, and giving. The Sacramento District has 3 categories of Missionaries under Care & Connection: The Assigned Links Missionaries, Active Missionaries From Our District and Retired Missionaries From Our District.

Please help us to love and care for ALL of our missionaries. We praise God for the work they are doing for God’s glory.

Our 2025 Links Missionaries

South America Region

Every Nazarene district is assigned a Links missionary for two years. Our role as a district is to encourage every church to develop a meaningful relationship with our Links missionary through email or other means of communication that will foster prayer, encouragement, recognition of special days (birthdays & anniversaries), and if desired, gifts of money (using their deputation account on their profile page).

Our new Links missionaries are Oscar Benitez and Rebeca Xaxa. They are missionaries to Argentina. We will have these two as our Links missionaries for two years, January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2027.

Their email is: obenitez@samnaz.org

Please, get to know them and show them lots of love. They are a wonderful couple.

About The Benitez Family

The Benítez family serves as global missionaries in Argentina, serving the entire South America Region. Oscar Benítez (August 13) is a pastor, musician, and communicator, passionate about new generations. He has been deeply involved in youth pastoral ministry in Argentina and Brazil. He currently coordinates the Communications Ministry for the 10 countries of the region, combining his creativity and pastoral experience to strengthen the Church through stories, resources, and audiovisual projects in service of the mission.

Rebeca Mendes Xaxá (July 22) is the daughter of missionaries; she grew up seeing and living the mission in countries such as Argentina, Paraguay, and Brazil, especially in northeastern Brazil. That experience deeply shaped her call to missions. She currently serves on the regional Communications team in the areas of news, translation, and interpretation, and also supports the regional Literature Ministry, helping the Church gain access to biblical and educationalresources.

As a family, they are half Brazilian and half Argentine: Oscar and Eva were born in Argentina, while Rebeca and Olívia were born in Brazil. This shared identity enriches their missionary calling and makes them a multicultural family serving the Kingdom.

Together with their daughters, Eva (December 12, 2016) and Olívia (November 16, 2020), who love the Lord and joyfully participate in the life and ministry of their parents, the Benítez family lives out their calling to serve Jesus, the Church, and new generations, grateful to be part of this movement of God in the South America Region and around the world.
